Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre has several new opportunities for both community members and student volunteers at the high school, college and university level. All activities are designed to increase your skills and meet the criteria of your community service hours.

Make a short film

 Create a film with a powerful message about teens and healthy relationships or street harassment.

Make bookmarks

Do you want to support survivors of sexual assault? Volunteer to create bookmarks with inspirational and/or educational messages for our clients to take home.

Spread positive messages of ending sexual violence and promote gender equality by creating eye-catching buttons.

Photo shoot

Host a consent photo shoot! Educate the public on healthy enthusiastic consent, and maybe even start a meme!

Become an ally

Are you a man who would like to prevent sexual violence?

Host a documentary film screening, or host a workshop on becoming a male ally and an active bystander.

Chalk Campaign

Inform the public by creating thought-provoking and educational sidewalk messages around town.

Help keep the community informed by spreading the word about our services, events and sexual violence public education.

Resource advocate

Compile a comprehensive list of literary resources available on the subject of sexual violence in our public libraries. Then research a list of resources that could be added to our public libraries.

Community Development & Youth Engagement Events


Host a film screening

Organize a documentary film screening about the reality of power, privilege and oppression in our society. Facilitate a discussion after the film.

Shoe party

Incorporate art and community development, host an event that honours the different journeys women go through. Showcase the art at a KSAC event.
