Our Core Values
We are looking for skilled individuals to support the governance mandate of our organization. We recognize that lived experiences from all facets of life provide valuable insights and knowledge, and recognize that many skills are gained outside of paid employment. With that in mind, we encourage all with an interest in a governance volunteer role to submit an application, regardless of employment experience.
We are seeking individuals who are strongly aligned with our mission and values and can play an important role in helping us continue to develop and grow as we strive to meet the needs of our four counties. Board members must be team players with strong communication skills, along with a vested interest in our communities.
The Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre Board of Directors typically meets 10 – 12 times a year, with additional committee work. Board meetings generally happen monthly on a weekday evening, with virtual attendance possible for all board and committee meetings.
Committed to attracting and retaining a diverse Board of Directors, we aim to honour your experiences, perspectives and unique identity. Together, we strive to create and maintain a Board environment that is inclusive, equitable and welcoming.
We welcome any questions!
Backgrounds, genders, sexualities, ages and abilities are treated with respect and dignity in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment at Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre.
